What it is
Brew Crew is an iOS app for young professionals who recently moved to a new city, designed to make it easy to find low-pressure social events with people in the same boat.
The problem
Relocating in your 20s and 30s is a documented loneliness event. Existing event apps lean toward dense coastal cities and high-intent dating, which leaves a gap for people who just want to make platonic friends in a new place.
The approach
- 200+ user interviews with recent transplants across non-coastal cities to validate the pain.
- Attended 40+ events on competing platforms to understand what's working and what isn't.
- 5-month beta with 60 participants before opening to a broader audience.
What shipped
- MVP on TestFlight within 6 months of development to invite-only beta.
- Public App Store launch in January 2026, prioritizing non-coastal markets with high young-professional density.
